The current worldwide pandemic has emotionally and financially impacted everyone. Every family worldwide has had to make adjustments to their lives to continue moving forward.

Notwithstanding all the challenges life brings to people, many individuals continue to devote themselves to provide love and care to children without a family—children who have been left behind by their biological parents. Hands 4 Zero Poverty has had the privilege to visit—and closely work with—Simran's Home of Joy Society, an adoption center with a staff who work around the clock to provide abandoned children with a warm and caring home as they wait for a new family.

These are behind the scene people who make a difference. They protect and provide care to children at one of the most challenging times in their life. They strive to give the love every child deserves. During this holiday, Hands 4 Zero Poverty worked with supporters to bring care to these caretakers. As a team, we wanted to show these people we appreciate everything they do. Without their hard work and dedication, these children would not have the support they need as they transition to a new chapter in their life.

Food supplies and treats were purchased and provided to 10 caretakers. The food supplies were enough to support them—and their families—for approximately one month. Supplies included flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil, tea, Etc. The food provided during this event was in loving memory of Annasurya Raju. For four years, we have proudly continue Annasurya Raju's legacy of giving food to anyone who needs it. We hope—and will do what we can—to continue to support her legacy for the years to come.

We hope stories—and events like these—will inspire you to support, advocate, or donate. Everyone deserves to be acknowledged, to be cared for, to be given a sign of optimism.

Special thanks to Sarda & Gandhi Naidu and Rani & Pranish Naidu for providing the funding for this project and, more importantly, for continuing to support Hands 4 Zero Poverty year after year. You continue to inspire us.
